Authorities say two Tyrone women are behind bars following a bomb scare against a Blair County Dollar General on Tuesday.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the store, located along East Pleasant Valley Blvd., after a woman reportedly called and told an employee "your store is getting bombed today."

Police say, upon further investigation, officers were able to identify the caller as 57-year-old Jean Ann Shaffer.

Authorities say Shaffer had reportedly made previous threats against the same store and had allegedly made Tuesday's threat while sitting in Blair County District Court.

Police say when they arrested Shaffer in the parking lot of central court, another woman, later identified as 31-year-old Crystal Lynn McChessney, reportedly "shoved" her way past officers and attempted to intervene.

Authorities say McChessney was knocked to the ground by one of the officers and was also taken into custody.

According to online court records, Shaffer now faces charges of making terroristic threats, witness retaliation/intimidation and disorderly conduct.

Officials say McChessney is charged with aggravated assault, obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct.

Both women are being held at the Blair County Prison.
