BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. (WPEC) - The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado hit Broward County.
The preliminary report shows it as an EF-1 tornado with wind speeds between 90 and 100 miles per hour.
The NWS is trying to pinpoint exactly where the tornado formed before it made its destructive path through South Florida.

The same storm had Palm Beach County under several tornado warnings throughout Wednesday morning.
But the most damage happened around Broward College North, an area that also saw multiple tornado warnings.
Coconut Creek Police shared photos of several cars that had been tossed around in the high winds.
One car landed on top of another in a parking lot. The strong winds also pushed a pickup truck onto its side on the lawn.
One person has been taken to the hospital.
Aerial footage and photos from CBS12 crews on the ground showed tractor trailers and a shuttle bus knocked over.
Footage also showed heavy damage to the rooftops of several buildings on campus.

The campus issued a weather alert shortly before the strong storms moved through.
Broward County North is just west of Pompano Beach in Coconut Creek.
The National Weather Service had issued a tornado warning for the area around 9:30 a.m.
The Broward County Sheriff's Office also says strong winds flipped a car on the Florida Turnpike.
