Ahmed Alqubaisi was charged last September after police say he reportedly lost control of his vehicle and struck 25-year-old Lovisa Arnesson-Cronhamre, who was jogging along Park Avenue, near Penn State’s campus.

2 killed overnight, treating case as murder-suicide

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP – Two people died in an overnight shooting in Richland Township, according to police. Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said the case is being treated as a murder-suicide. Cambria County dispatch officials said they received a call that two people had been shot in front of a townhomes in the Aspen Woods complex around midnight. That complex was formerly known as Arbutus Village. Lees said one person was pronounced dead at the scene and the other died after being taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.

State police said the unidentified woman deceived members of the Rockwood Borough Council in January into paying her on numerous occasions for work which was not actually performed. The press release states that the woman was paid without approval from the rest of the council and without their knowledge.
