PA State Police in Hollidaysburg searching for missing man
WORTH TWP., Pa. (WJAC) — Pennsylvania State Police in Hollidaysburg are looking for a missing Tyrone man.
According to state police, they are working to locate 56-year-old Terry Shaw. Troopers report Shaw is a white man, stands 5 feet, 1 inch tall and has blue eyes.
State police said Shaw was last heard from on Sunday, Oct. 4 when he called his girlfriend around 2 that morning.
He was riding a red Honda Recon 4-wheeler and told his girlfriend he was stuck and needed a ride.
Tyrone man charged for fatal DUI crash on Route 350 in Huntingdon Co.
Huntingdon Co., PA (WJAC) — State police have charged a Tyrone man for driving under the influence of drugs and causing a fatal crash that claimed the life of a Warriors Marks woman in June, according to a criminal complaint.
Investigators say 43-year-old Richard Ewing has been charged with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, aggravated assault by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, and over a dozen other traffic and drug-related citations, according to online court documents.

Last week, a decision in state court reaffirmed law enforcement's authority to do so, and that includes covering the bottom part that has the state's tourism website: visitpa.com.

Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities say a Curwensville man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman inside a Clearfield County apartment in 2022.
Following a two-day trial, officials say Douglas Albert was convicted Thursday on most of the charges he faced, which included rape of an unconscious victim, sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault.
Police charged Albert last July after he was accused of assaulting the woman while she was staying at a friend's apartment.

With a bowling average of 236, Melia Mitskavich, of DuBois, took home the title of highest average in the nation for a second straight year.

Father, daughter rescued from California river on Mother's Day
FRIANT, Calif. (KMPH) — A father and daughter were rescued from the San Joaquin River Sunday after their kayaks got stuck on debris.
The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. north of Lost Lake on North Fork and Friant Road.
California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection says they used their boat to get the man off the middle island he was stuck at and used rescue swimmers to help save the daughter in the river.
California man faces attempted homicide charges for Somerset hotel shooting
SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A man from California is facing charges for attempted homicide at a Somerset hotel shooting last month, according to Somerset District Attorney Molly Metzgar.
On the morning of January 4, police say they arrived at the Holiday Inn Express where the victim, a Lancaster man, was allegedly found shot twice outside of the hotel around 1:30 a.m.
Officials say Andrew Vega was taken into custody after a vehicle pursuit in the state of Indiana.
Driver charged in deadly Florida bus crash says he smoked pot oil, took meds before crash
OCALA, Fla. (TND) — The driver of a pickup truck that crashed into a bus in Florida, killing eight people, told authorities he smoked marijuana oil and took prescription drugs hours before the collision, according to an arrest report. Bryan Maclean Howard, 41, who has an extensive record of arrests, appeared in court Wednesday. He pleaded not guilty to eight counts of driving under the influence-manslaughter and was denied bond. The National Desk obtained the arrest report, with troopers noting Maclean Howard had bloodshot and watery eyes.
