To raise money in the lead-up to the games, they held a run at Beaver Stadium on Sunday. Making this year's run special was a touching tribute to a Penn State football legend: the late football legend Franco Harris.

That’s one of the questions the university president faced Thursday at a state legislative hearing, as she made a desperate plea for more state funding.

Search for New Jersey man wanted for alleged involvement in Jan. 6 riot enters 2nd day
The search for a suspect the Federal Bureau of Investigation said is wanted for his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021 riots at the U.S. Capitol building entered its second day on Thursday. The Jamesburg Police Department said officers, along with the FBI, are searching for Gregory Yetman. The FBI said it is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to his arrest.

Subway manager says she was punched by customer over sandwich not having enough ham
MADERA, Calif. (KMPH) — A Subway manager is recovering from injuries to her face after a customer decided to attack employees for not putting enough meat on his sandwich. The manager who was hit in the face said the customer escalated the situation because he wanted more ham.

Martinsburg man enters guilty plea in federal firearms trafficking case
Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — One of three Blair County men who was charged following an ATF investigation into illegal firearms sales and firearms trafficking has entered a guilty plea in the case.
According to federal authorities, Harry Miller, age 47, of Martinsburg, appeared in court Monday where he pleaded guilty to multiple counts related to the possession, manufacturing and trafficking of illegal firearms.

Small business owners lament inflation
As inflation continues to rise this year, small businesses are feeling the pain.
The National Federation of Independent Businesses released a survey of small business owners Tuesday that found the nation's job creators cite inflation as their top concern more than any other issue.
“Cost pressures remain the top issue for small business owners, including historically high levels of owners raising compensation to keep and attract employees,” Bill Dunkelberg, NFIB chief economist, said in a statement.
SCI Huntingdon inmate back in custody after stealing vehicle in escape attempt
HUNTINGDON, Pa. - An inmate is back in custody after he walked off of work detail Friday, police said.
According to police, the inmate was on work detail on state Route 26 near the Walmart when he walked off around 12:30 p.m. Department of Corrections identified the inmate as 26-year-old John Adam Bertolette.
Police said Bertolette stole a vehicle from a nearby housing development and tried to escape.
Troopers began a search and spotted, then stopped the vehicle just south of Marklesburg Borough.
