FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WJAR) — Officials said a New Hampshire man who was in the stands to watch Sunday's football game at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts died.

Marking 30 years since Heidi Marie Allen's mysterious disappearance in New York
NEW HAVEN, N.Y. (WRGB) — Wednesday marked 30 years since 18-year-old Heidi Marie Allen disappeared from New Haven, New York.
On Easter Sunday on April 3, 1994, Allen was working alone as a cashier at the D&W Convenience Store on the intersection of State Route 104 and 104B in New Haven. She opened the store at about 5:45 a.m. Just over two hours later, the store was reported to be vacant at approximately 7:55 a.
Ridgway community pool reopens, with new guidelines in place
RIDGWAY, Pa (WJAC) — The Lyle G. Hall community pool in Ridgway is now open for visitors.
Pool staff is encouraging social distancing, in and out of the pool.
Lounge chairs and picnic tables are available for use, and pool equipment will be cleaned on an hourly basis.
Up to 250 people will be allowed in the pool area at a time.
The staff says they are confident that they can move forward this summer, safely and effectively.
Greater Johnstown SD hiring four police officers
According to officials at Greater Johnstown there has been just one resource officer in the district with four buildings. They said Greater Johnstown Elementary last having a resource officer in October 2022 and the high school has not had one since November.
These four officers will be employees of the school district according to officials rather than before having resource officers with the Johnstown Police Department at the schools.
The officers will be paid for out of the school’s general fund and officials said it will be able to be sustained.
Bedford republican chair vote being challenged after former DA took over seat
Former Bedford County district attorney with a criminal history was recently voted as the chairperson of the county's republican party. That vote is now being challenged and the state GOP is expected to review the vote.
The questions being raised have nothing to do with Bill Higgins' past, but rather the validity of the vote.
Higgins pleading guilty of over 30 criminal counts of misconduct while he was Bedford’s district attorney in 2018, making a deal to avoid prison time.
New PA law increases penalties for those with repeated DUIs
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Under a new Pennsylvania law, repeated D.U.I offenders now face stricter penalties.
This past July, Act 59 of 2022 was signed into law changing the grading of certain offenses for those driving under the influence.
The new law is also known as “Deana’s Law” – a woman who lost her life because of a drunk driver in 2019.
An official WJAC spoke with says if these laws were implemented, Deana would still be here today.
Woman charged with homicide, DUI for causing crash that killed 76-year-old Bellefonte man
Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities with the Spring Township police department say a Centre County woman is facing several charges, including homicide by vehicle while DUI, for causing a two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 76-year-old Bellefonte man.
Police say on the afternoon of April 28th, authorities were dispatched to the 1000 block of Blanchard Street for reports of a vehicle crash with injury and ejection.
Investigators say one of the vehicles, a silver SUV, had reportedly suffered heavy damage in the crash and the driver, a female, was discovered laying in the roadway in "
Girl, horse killed in equestrian accident were training for championship event
HALFMOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) — A young equestrian died in a horse riding accident Thursday morning in Centre County, officials said.
Officials say Ashley Stout, 13, was pronounced dead at Mount Nittany Medical Center. The accident occurred at the Standing Ovation Equestrian Center in Port Matilda, just after 9 a.m.
According to Standing Ovation's Facebook page, Stout's horse, Avant Garde, also died. State police in Rockview are continuing to investigate the incident.
Steelers HOFer Alan Faneca to announce team's 2nd round draft pick
Pittsburgh (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that Hall of Fame offensive guard Alan Faneca will be taking part in the team's draft festivities this year.
Faneca is scheduled to announce the Steelers' second round draft pick.
"It's always nice to get back in and be a part of anything NFL related, anything Steelers related," said Faneca. "It's fun to step back into that world a little bit. And I'm bringing my son, Burton, with me.
Local fire company unveils new trucks that require less manpower
CENTRE CO., Pa. (WJAC) — New vehicles at a Howard Fire Company are helping them respond quicker, according to its officials. Saturday afternoon they dedicated two new engine rescue trucks.
Company President Bill Nearhoof tells 6 News these new vehicles require less crew members to get them up and running. That's due in part to these two engines replacing what were previously three pieces of apparatus. As fire departments nationwide face a volunteer shortage, Howard fire officials say this improvement makes a difference.
