Pittsburgh Zoo offering free admission in honor of World Wildlife Day
PITTSBURGH (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium is celebrating World Wildlife Day with a special treat for its guests: free admission!
Zoo officials say all guests who visit on Tuesday will receive free admission between its regular hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A sea lion training session will also take place at the Kids Kingdom at 11:30 a.m., weather permitting, according to the zoo's website.

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — A local barbershop in Johnstown has partnered with the city police department to provide free haircuts for students in need.
“A haircut goes a long way and it’s not a big deal for me to give it away but it’s a huge deal for someone to get it.”
“Barbers and Gents” in downtown Johnstown is making sure every student looks their very best going back to school.
Spanish opera singer Plcido Domingo has coronavirus
MADRID (AP) — Spanish opera singer Plácido Domingo said Sunday that he's infected with the coronavirus.
The 79-year-old Domingo said in a poston his personal Facebook account Sunday that "I feel it is my moral duty to announce to you that I have tested positive."
The tenor says he and his family are in self-isolation and that he is feeling well despite having fever and a cough.
"I beg everyone to be extremely careful, follow the basic guidelines by washing your hands frequently, keeping at least a 6 foot distance from others, doing everything you can to stop the virus from spreading and please above all stay home if you can!
Pizza Hut tries something different, unveils new cheeseburger melt
Pizza Hut has unveiled an all-new cheeseburger.
Starting Wednesday, Pizza Hut will begin offering its cheeseburger melt. The melt is a parmesan-crusted thin crust melt folded and loaded with the following ingredients:

One person dead from crash on Rt. 271 in East Taylor Township
EAST TAYLOR, Pa. (WJAC) — Update #2: Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said one person died following Friday morning's crash on William Penn Avenue in East Taylor Township, Cambria County.
Lees said a woman in her 80's was driving northbound on Route 271 when she collided head-on with another vehicle just after 11:30 a.m.
He said the victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of family.
Lees said she was taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 1:00 p.
Employee at Altoona Sheetz tests positive for COVID-19
ALTOONA, Pa (WJAC) — An employee at an Altoona Sheetz, located along Beale Ave., has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a company announcement.
Sheetz officials say that the employee was at the store Thursday morning and as a result, the store has been closed and will be deep-cleaned.
"We are taking an abundantly cautious approach, working with all employees who may have had close contact with this employee and exceeding all sanitization guidelines.
'Sideline Cancer' basketball team celebrating 10th year of playing for battle against pancreatic can
Sideline Cancer is preparing for its 10th year playing in "The Basketball Tournament." The tournament has been running for 10 years, and Sideline Cancer representatives said they are the only team to play in each tournament.

Woman fights back during attempted robbery at Walmart parking lot
AUBURN, Wash. (KOMO) — A suspected victim is recovering from a gunshot wound after she reportedly defended herself during an attempted robbery.
Police in Washington responded to a shootout Tuesday morning in the parking lot outside of an Auburn Walmart.
Auburn police said two armed suspects attempted to rob a a 53-year-old woman sitting in her vehicle. When the suspects demanded the woman's "property," she drew a gun and shot at them, according to police.
