Trump guilty verdict looms over lawmakers' return to Capitol Hill

WASHINGTON (TND) – A newly released poll taken just after former President Donald Trump was found guilty on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records shows half of Americans agree with the outcome. The ABC News/Ipsos poll conducted on Friday and Saturday found 50% of adults think the verdict was correct; 27% think it's incorrect and 23% said they don't know. Forty-nine percent said Trump should end his presidential campaign because of the verdict; 37% said he should not and 14% said they don't know.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Pennsylvania State Police said one person has died from a propane explosion at the Bird-in-Hand Family Inn in Leacock Township. The explosion happened around 8:00 a.m. Monday and required a response from more than 20 fire companies. "It was just this tremendous boom. The smoke was billowing, you could see the tops of the flames from back where we live," said Stephen Caldwell, who lives near the inn.

Skenes shines in second MLB start; tosses 6 no-hit innings

Pittsburgh Pirates top pitching prospect Paul Skenes was better than advertised in his second major league start on Friday. Once again facing off against the Chicago Cubs, this time in Wrigley, Skenes struck out the first seven batters he faced and threw six no-hit innings en route to his first MLB victory. Steelers QB Pickett undergoes ankle surgery, expected to miss 2-4 weeks

Pittsburgh (WJAC) — According to Pittsburgh Steelers inside reporter Gerry Dulac, quarterback Kenny Pickett reportedly underwent "tightrope" surgery on his ankle Monday morning. Pickett left Sunday's game in the second quarter after injuring his ankle while scrambling towards the goal line on a third down. Following the surgery, Pickett is expected to be out at least two to four weeks, according to reports. However, Dulac reports that the Steelers are hopeful that Pickett can return by month's end.

New Mount Nittany Health practice opens in Philipsburg

PHILIPSBURG – Mount Nittany Health announced the opening of its new Philipsburg practice on Monday. The practice is located at 1061 North Front Street. The new location offers 12 family medicine practice exam rooms, an outpatient lab and space for a future radiology suite. It will also provide several specialty services, beginning with Christopher Yingling, MD, urology, Mount Nittany Physician Group. Future services will include cardiology, infectious disease, endocrinology and nephrology.

Three Crimson Crushers earned all-American status and Mason Gibson, won a national championship in Fargo, North Dakota. While those wrestlers competed across the country, their teammate was preparing to travel across the world to compete on the biggest mats of them all.
