Altoona Burger King closed after car crashes through wall
ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — Employees at an Altoona Burger King have a bit of a mess on their hands after a car came crashing into the restaurant Tuesday.
It happened at the Burger King on W. Plank Road.
Management tells 6 News that a driver hit a concrete barrier in the parking lot and accelerated right into the side of the building, taking out a panel of windows and some brickwork.
Dr. Rachel Levine sworn in as first openly transgender 4-star admiral
WASHINGTON (WJAC) — Former Pennsylvania Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine was officially sworn into the U.S. Public Health Services Commissioned Corps Tuesday.
This makes her the first openly transgender four-star officer in the Uniformed Services and the first female four-star admiral.
Levine was nominated and confirmed as the Assistant Health Secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human services March of this year.
She says she is deeply honored and grateful to join the ranks of men and women who serve our nation.

Georgia appeals court will review ruling allowing Fani Willis to stay on Trump case
ATLANTA (AP) — A Georgia appeals court on Wednesday agreed to review a lower court ruling allowing Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to continue to prosecute the election interference case she brought against former President Donald Trump.
Trump and some other defendants in the case had tried to get Willis and her office removed from the case, saying her romantic relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade created a conflict of interest.
Driver intentionally smashed into home's second floor in Pennsylvania, police say
MIFFLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — UPDATE | In a bizarre turn of events, Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) are expected to press charges against the driver of a car that flew into a home's second floor on Sunday.
PSP says charges are pending against 20-year-old Evan Miller for intentionally driving his car into a Decatur Twp. home's second floor.
Crews that were on scene say Miller first crashed into a culvert, launching his vehicle into the air and into the residence.
SCI-Somerset inmate charged with killing his cellmate
SOMERSET – A homicide investigation is underway after an inmate was found dead inside his prison cell Tuesday at the State Correctional Institution at Somerset.
Officials said Wednesday that homicide charges have been filed against another inmate, Dale Wakefield, in the death Joshua Perry.
Authorities said Wakefield and Perry – both 25 - were in the same cell together when the incident happened.
According to a criminal complaint, Perry was found under his bed in his cell with his hands tied around his back and a sheet around his neck.

EAGLE PASS, Texas (WOAI) — You've likely heard about the floating barrier in the Rio Grande, but what you might not have heard about is the metal disks in between each buoy.
The disks with serrated edges are at the center of new controversy, and their intent changes depending on who you ask. Some opponents have referred to them as circular saws.
Rep. Joaquin Castro got to see them up close earlier this month after leading a group of Democratic lawmakers on a border visit.
Police search for woman they say stole from State College Walmart
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WJAC) — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a possible Walmart theft suspect in State College.
Police say on March 15, the woman stole multiple items, including a hover board, from the Benner Pike Walmart store.
In surveillance video, the suspect appears to be in her 20s or 30s and is wearing a green shirt, white vest, orange jacket and jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to call State College police at 814-234-7150.
Johnstown Panera Bread cited for 'fly infestation'
JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — Johnstown's Panera Bread, located in the Richland Town Center, has been cited by a state health inspector for a reported "fly infestation," according to a report on pafoodsafety.gov.

McDonald's regular says he received a $580 ticket for opening app in drive-thru
SASKATOON, Canada (WKRC) — A McDonald's regular said he got a $580 ticket for opening the fast-food chain's app in the drive-thru.
McDonald's customer Mason Prima spoke to Canada-based CTV News on Tuesday after he was allegedly handed a $580 ticket for pulling up the McDonald's app in the drive-thru. Per the outlet, Prima had hoped to use his points to score a free meal.
“I’m barely even moving. I pull up my app and look at the rear-view mirror and there’s a motorcycle cop behind me,” Prima told CTV News.
