Chester, Pennsylvania — The quickest guy on a soccer field near Philadelphia Wednesday night had four feet instead of two.
A racoon wandered onto the pitch at Subaru Park, where the Philadelphia Union faced New York City FC.
The furry intruder was spotted about 20 minutes after the opening kick.
Staff and players soon found out “you can't stop him, you can only hope to contain him,” and after some very entertaining moments, that finally happened.
Salisbury woman accused of burning cigarettes on young boy
SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — State police in Somerset County say a Salisbury woman is facing charges, accused of burning cigarettes on the skin of a young boy.
According to the affidavit, troopers were contacted in February to investigate a CYS complaint regarding burn marks on the finger and neck of a 5-year-old boy.
Upon further investigation, authorities questioned 66-year-old Miriam Housel, who claimed that the marks were "birthmarks."
Police say doctors at UPMC Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh concluded that the marks were not consistent with any accidental injuries and were left intentionally.
Employees angry over Coney Island Lunch closure, locals looking at future of downtown
JOHNSTOWN -- The iconic Coney Island Lunch restaurant in Johnstown is closed for good. And employees and the community are still in shock.
Coney Island has been around for 101 years. It's a destination for out of towners and a staple for locals.
But employees say they were blindsided by the news, going to bed with a job and waking up Sunday morning without one.
The signs went up early Sunday morning telling customers and employees the restaurant was closed for good.
Over 90 dogs rescued from distressing conditions by Bedford County Humane Society
An investigation into a Bedford County home on New Year's Eve has led to the Bedford County Humane Society being extremely overcrowded.
More than 90 dogs were brought to the shelter on Sunday night and volunteers say they were here until one in the morning making the dogs as comfortable as they could be.
New Year’s quickly became busy for the workers at the shelter. The shelter manager Kathy Ramsey says that they can comfortably fit about forty-five dogs and that after last night they have about one-hundred and fifteen.
Israeli military probe cites secondary explosion in deadly Gaza tent camp fire
WAFAA SHURAFA and SAMY MAGDY Associated Press — The Israeli military says an initial investigation into a strike that sparked a deadly weekend fire in a tent camp in the southern Gaza city of Rafah has found the blaze was caused by a secondary explosion.
A military official, speaking on condition of anonymity pending a formal announcement, said Tuesday that the military fired two 17-kilogram (37-pound) munitions that targeted two senior Hamas militants.
Ground beef products sold at Walmart recalled due to possible E. coli contamination

Cargill Meat Solutions is recalling approximately 16,243 pounds of raw ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced.

Mural honors Blair County civil rights activist William Nesbit
BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — With civil rights issues continuing nationwide, the story of a Blair County man from two centuries ago is a testament to the power of positive change through activism.
On a wall at Altoona Pipe and Steel, a recently unveiled mural depicting the life of William Nesbit is on display.
He was described as a leading civil rights activist.
Nesbit's activism often included direct action.
He moved to Altoona in 1855.
Woman back on dialysis after doctors remove transplanted pig kidney
WASHINGTON (AP) — A woman who received a pig kidney transplant is back on dialysis just 47 days later after surgeons removed the gradually failing organ.
Lisa Pisano was the second person to receive a kidney from a gene-edited pig, and NYU Langone Health announced that she is stable after an operation to remove the organ earlier this week.
The first patient to receive a pig kidney transplant, Richard “Rick” Slayman at Massachusetts General Hospital, died in early May, nearly two months after his transplant.
Steelers reactivate veteran defensive lineman Cam Heyward; expected to play Thursday vs Titans
Pittsburgh (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Wednesday that veteran defensive tackle Cameron Heyward has been reactivated from the Reserve/Injured list.
Heyward returned to practice last week, six weeks after he underwent surgery to repair a hamstring injury that he suffered in Week 1.
"It felt good. It's been some weeks," said Heyward. "It's been a while. I am excited to just get back out there, get in the flow of things.
Witnesses help piece together events that led to deadly stampede at New York concert
