SCASD reveals preliminary sketches, areas of focus for elementary renovations

Man faces over 130 years behind bars for multiple sex crimes against children in York Co.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A York County man has been sentenced to 66.6 years to 133.2 years in State Prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting multiple children under the age of 16, according to officials. The York County District Attorney's Office says 43-year-old Brody Kline, of Dover, was also determined to be a sexually violent predator. Kline was convicted last year of sexually assaulting multiple children under the age of 16.

Hollidaysburg Little League team advances to regional final

One injured after vehicle crashes into abandoned structure in Patton

Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — 911 officials in Cambria County say one person was injured early Tuesday morning after a vehicle reportedly crashed into an abandoned structure in Patton Borough. Emergency officials say the crash occurred just after 5 a.m. along the 500 block of Magee Avenue. Authorities say one person was transported to UPMC Altoona with unknown injuries. Officials say multiple area departments were dispatched to the crash scene and the cause of the crash is under investigation.

Pennsylvania SPCA recovers over 170 dogs from home

MONROE COUNTY, Pa. (WOLF) — The Pennsylvania SPCA rescued more than 170 dogs from a home on Friday. The PSPCA was called to the home under the PA Bureau of Dog Law after an individual in the home passed away. The initial number of animals recovered was 70, but more searches led officials to locate a total of 170 dogs. There were so many dogs in the home that they had to make a second trip on Saturday.

Police investigating early morning shots fired incident in Altoona

ALTOONA, Pa (WJAC) — Altoona police are investigating an early morning shots fired incident near a local bar. Police say officers were dispatched to the area near Zach's Sports Bar, located along 6th Ave., just before 1 a.m. Thursday, for multiple reports of shots being fired. Officers say several individuals fled the area when police arrived. Police say officers did recover shell casings in the bar's parking lot. No injuries were reported in the incident and anyone with further information is asked to contact Altoona police detectives at 814-949-2564.
