Johnstown woman stabbed to death during Facebook Marketplace sale: Investigators
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Investigators say a woman who was found stabbed to death in Geistown Tuesday was killed by a man whom she met on Facebook Marketplace to buy a fridge for her boyfriend.
Authorities say 26-year-old Joshua Gorgone was arrested Tuesday and has been charged with criminal homicide in the slaying of 54-year-old Denise Williams.
Officials held a press conference Wednesday morning, where they provided more details related to the case.
Man killed following two-vehicle crash in Blair Co.
Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — State Police in Hollidaysburg say one person was killed Monday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash along Woodbury Pike in Taylor Township, Blair County.
Investigators say the crash occurred just before 4 p.m. when the driver of a Subaru Legacy crossed into the northbound lane of travel and collided with a Ford Transit vehicle.
Police say the driver of the Subaru was transported to Conemaugh Nason hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Twenty-month-old Azai, who rocketed to fame after his mother Mia started posting videos of him exploring Target aisles offering shoppers a heartfelt "Hi, how you doing?”, was recently promoted to Store Happiness Director at the Huntersville location. He's also referred to as the “internet’s favorite nephew.” Team members rolled out the red carpet for Azai last Friday as he got to hand out Bullseye-themed sweet treats during an employee huddle, make an announcement over a walkie-talkie and double-check inventory in the toy department.
Babysitter charged after infant found dead in 133-degree car
MACCLENNY, Fla. (WPEC) — A babysitter in Florida is facing an aggravated manslaughter charge after she left a 10-month-old girl in a hot car, according to the Baker County Sheriff's Office (BCSO).
Rhonda Jewell, 46, picked up a 10-month-old infant from the child’s mother Wednesday and has watched the child on multiple occasions since June, deputies said. Jewell proceeded to drive to another home in south Macclenny, where she was going to babysit other children as well, a press release stated.

WASHINGTON (TND) — Friends actor Matthew Perry died due to the “acute effects” of ketamine, according to the results of an autopsy report.
Ketamine is a Schedule III controlled substance – meaning it’s only available from pharmacies with a prescription – that has been used for decades in humans and animals as an anesthetic during medical procedures.
In 2019, the FDA approved ketamine infusions to treat depression and anxiety, and it has also been prescribed to treat substance-use disorders.
2 dead, 28 injured including 15 minors, after mass shooting at South Baltimore block party
BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Gunfire that erupted during a block party early Sunday morning left two people dead and 28 others injured, according to Baltimore City Police. Police said they were still looking for the suspects.
Metro Crime Stoppers released the identities of the two victims killed in the incident. Officials say Kylis Fagbemi, 20, and Aaliyah Gonzales, 18, were both fatally shot.
Acting Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley said out of the 28 other victims, at least 15 were minors.
State College parking garage will remain open despite damage to 'structural beam'
CENTRE COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — One day after a crack was spotted in a structural beam, the McAllister Parking Deck in downtown State College remains open.
Officials say the parking garage is 33 years old, but after securing the cracked beam, borough engineers say they can do the repair work without closing the entire deck.
The McAllister deck has 230 parking spaces, and close to 40 of them are temporarily closed while the situation is assessed, and permanent repairs are made.
Coroner releases how two men died after they were found at Wilmore Dam
WILMORE, Pa. (WJAC) — Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees provided an update Tuesday after two men were found floating in the Wilmore Dam by a group of kayakers June 9.
Lees identified the two men June 10 as 78-year-old Francis Frear and 68-year-old Dennis Livingston from Mineral Point.
According to Lees, the two men were good friends and were fishing from a boat when Frear suffered from a cardiac event and fell into the water which was about 30 feet deep.

WJAC-TV won five Keystone Media Awards for stories aired in 2019. The awards, announced Thursday, are organized by the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association after a merger this year with the Pennsylvania Associated Press Managing Editors awards.
The 6 News team won first place awards for “Best Spot News Coverage” and “Best Continuing Coverage” for stories related to a pair of deadly shootings in State College the night of January 24th.
