Woman found dead accused estranged husband, pastor, of 'grooming' her at church
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — New reports have been released detailing incidents involving the estranged wife of a South Carolina pastor, 30-year-old Mica Miller, who died by suicide.
Miller died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on April 27 at the Lumber River State Park in Robeson County, North Carolina. Since then, the details surrounding her death have gained national interest.
WPDE requested reports from the Myrtle Beach Police Dept. (MBPD) that listed Mica Miller as a victim.
Future of Jackson Elementary after Central Cambria elementary school reconfiguration
There will only be about 100 students at Jackson Elementary in the upcoming year school officials said now that it will be just kindergarten through second grade students in Jackson Township.
The Central Cambria school board voting on and passing a plan that will have students third through fifth grades, that previously went to Jackson Elementary going to Cambria Elementary to begin the upcoming school year.
That will add about 100 students to Cambria Elementary, taking its total to about 540 students according to school officials.
Charges could be expunged for former SFU football players accused of sexual assault
Two former Saint Francis football players will no longer stand trial on accusations that they sexually assaulted a woman back in 2021.
Marcel Mami and Daunte White will be entering the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program, also known as ARD.
According to Cambria County District Attorney Greg Neugebauer, the two defendants will have to go through the program for the next year. He said if they complete the program and avoid any criminal activity, the charges can be expunged.

Late-night fire causes major damage to Wingate restaurant that recently opened
WINGATE, Pa. (WJAC) — Crews responded to a late-night fire in Wingate.
Flames broke out at Kelly's Diner in the 800 block of South Eagle Valley Road.
Heavy smoke could be seen coming out of the building.
The diner just opened within the past few months.
Fire Chief Corey Bowmaster described what the first responders were dealing with.
“It started in the basement, and the exhaust fan in the kitchen was dispersing smoke, and with it being in the basement, it was filling up before the fire came out,” Bowmaster explained.
Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway kicks off 2020 racing season
BEDFORD — The second time is the charm for the Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway.
Track officials planned for opening night of the 2020 season on Friday, June 5. But, rain made the track unusable. So, Sunday, June 7 served up a nice night for the start of the 2020 campaign.
The track hosted four classes of racing: Late Models, Late Model Sportsman, Semi Lates and Modifieds.
“We’ve been off for so long,” said Jarrod Clapper, Bedford Speedway’s multimedia director.
Month of activities planned as restoration continues for East Broad Top Railroad
ROCKHILL FURNACE, Pa. (WJAC) — Railroads and their development have played a significant role in our region's history and development. In Huntingdon County, the restoration and revitalization of the East Broad Top Railroad remains on track.
The East Broad Top in its earliest day in the 1800’s directly tied to the foundation of Pennsylvania’s industrial history -- it was a coal hauling rail line.
Over the years, there was transformation. In the 1960’s it became a tourist railroad, with an eye on restoration – to preserve the national historic landmark.
Local fire department hosts annual indoor yard sale
The annual Howard Fire Company indoor yard sale is in full swing in Centre County.
The three-day yard sale is at the fire company banquet hall.
Items include furniture, appliances, clothing for children and adults, kitchen supplies, children's toys and games and more.
All of the merchandise being sold has been donated by residents of Howard and surrounding areas served by the all-volunteer fire company.
The funds raised will go directly to the fire company for their needs.
Zelenskyy secures $1 billion from Belgium and military commitments during EU tour

Planet Fitness defends banning customer who reported 'man in women's locker room'
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (TND) — Gym chain Planet Fitness is defending its decision to cancel the membership of an Alaskan customer who reported a “man in women’s locker room shaving.”
Customer Patricia Silva said she encountered an individual, whom she described as “a man with a penis,” while visiting a Planet Fitness location in Fairbanks, Alaska. She later detailed their interaction in a video shared via Facebook.
“I just came out of Planet Fitness,” Silva said in the video.
