Suspect in IUP shots fired incident pleads guilty

INDIANA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities in Indiana County say the suspect responsible for causing an officer-involved shots fired incident last year at an area university has pleaded guilty in the case. Last October, police arrested Cameron Raubaugh following an investigation into an officer-involved incident in the parking lot of IUP's George P. Miller Stadium. Police say Raubaugh reportedly called 911 and falsely reported a robbery in the parking lot.

Penguins trade forward Teddy Blueger to Vegas

Pittsburgh (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Penguins announced Wednesday that they have traded forward Teddy Blueger to the Vegas Golden Knights for defenseman Peter DiLiberatore and a 2024 third-round draft pick. Steelers defensive lineman Cam Heyward returns to practice

Pittsburgh (WJAC) — Pittsburgh Steelers veteran defensive lineman Cameron Heywardreturned to practice on Wednesday, six weeks after he underwent surgery to repair his hamstring. The 34-year-old has been sidelined since exiting the Steelers' Week 1 contest against the San Francisco 49ers. Pittsburgh says Heyward remains on the Injured Reserve list and the team has 21 days to reactivate him to the 53-man roster. It is unclear if Heyward will return to the active roster prior to Pittsburgh's matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Propane gas leak to blame for deadly explosion at Pennsylvania hotel

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Officials confirmed that one person is dead after an explosion lead to a second-alarm fire at a Pennsylvania hotel. The explosion at the Bird-in-Hand Family Inn in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania was caused by a propane gas leak. Pennsylvania State Police have not yet stated the identity of the deceased individual. Dozens of crews were on the scene of a fire Sunday in Leacock Township, Lancaster County officials confirmed to WHP.

Bellefonte man accused of intentional house fire and attempted murder amidst family feud

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — 6 News is learning the house fire in Centre County Thursday night was intentional. According to Spring Township Police, Matthew Davis of Bellefonte stole a gas tank from a neighbor and jammed it in the back of an SUV at a home along Vanessa Drive Thursday Night. They say he lit the SUV on fire which then spread to part of the home. Davis reportedly told police the owner of the home was a family member whom he had a long running feud with.

EU Commission issues Oreo maker Mondelez hefty fine for blocking cross-border sale

BRUSSELS (AP) — The European Commission has imposed a fine of 337.5 million euros ($366 million) on food company Mondelez, the owner of Oreo cookies and other snack brands, for obstructing sales of its products between EU member states, the bloc's executive arm said on Thursday. Mondelez owns the Cadbury and Toblerone chocolate brands as well as Oreo and Chips Ahoy cookies, Triscuit crackers and Perfect Snacks nutrition bars. The Commission said Mondelez tried to avoid that cross-border trade because that could lead to lower prices.
