Update #2: Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said one person died following Friday morning's crash on William Penn Avenue in East Taylor Township, Cambria County.

Lees said a woman in her 80's was driving northbound on Route 271 when she collided head-on with another vehicle just after 11:30 a.m.

He said the victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of family.

Lees said she was taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 1:00 p.m.

An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday. Lees said the results will be released after cause of death has been determined.

As of 12:45 p.m. William Penn Ave. along Route 271 has been reopened, according to officials.

Emergency officials in Cambria County say Route 271 in East Taylor Township is closed after a Friday morning crash.

Officials say the crash happened just after 11:30 a.m. near the 2300 block, but they have not confirmed how many vehicles were involved or if there are any injuries.

Traffic is being rerouted around the scene via Mitnik Avenue.

Officials say the road will be closed for about three hours.
