Jen Johnson co-anchors 6 News at 5 and 6 News at 6. Jen arrived at WJAC in July of 1992. She had just graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a minor in Psychology. Her career started in the Centre County newsroom, where she made the transition from photographer to reporter. Jen transferred to Johnstown in 1994.

Some of the most memorable stories she's worked on are the attack on America on September 11, 2001, and the Quecreek Mine Miracle. She enjoyed shooting Nittany Lion football highlights from the sidelines in Beaver Stadium and was honored to be given the opportunity to cover a local humanitarian mission in Honduras. Some of Jen's favorite memories are from the 6 News Your Town series, which runs all summer long. Jen gives her time at WJAC-sponsored events and countless charitable programs.

Jen, who married a Johnstown native, is a busy mom, caring for her daughter and son while enjoying an exciting, enriching career. She grew up in Ridgway, Elk County, but now considers Johnstown her home.

Jen says, "It's the people of Johnstown, the surrounding communities and outlying region, who have had a profound impact on me, through their stories, their kindness and their friendships. And my newsroom family, my fellow 6 News colleagues, some who have come and gone, who's contributions have helped to make WJAC TV, the leading local news station that our viewers have come to know and trust."
