Altoona, PA (WJAC) — With the colder weather approaching, and people seeking more things to do indoors, the Altoona Model Railroad Museum Association would like to extend an invitation to the community to visit their museum.
They have numerous train platforms, depicting Altoona and the surrounding landscape, set up at their location along 9th Avenue.
Members spent countless hours designing and building the platforms, and many of the components are handmade.
In addition to the numerous displays at the museum, the group is also getting their platform at Lakemont Park ready to run throughout the annual Lights on the Lake display, which begins on November 19th.
