PATTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - State Sen. Jake Corman announced that the Nittany Valley Sports Centre in Centre County will received a $1.5 million to help complete the second phase of construction.

The Nittany Valley Sports Centre will host year-round youth and adult sporting events.

“Construction of this facility means year-round training and fitness opportunities for area kids and families,” Corman said. “At the same time, our area will then play host to a number of regional and national indoor tournaments. The economic benefits of this investment in our community will positively impact many other sectors as we welcome visitors to our area.”

The complex is a 70,000-square-foot facility located at the intersection of Fox Hill and Bernel roads in Patton Township.

The grant will go towards numerous projects including installing pre-engineered metal building, masonry, door and window installations, mechanical and electric contracts and other needs.

The facility is expected to host basketball, volleyball, futsal and indoor field hockey tournaments.
