HUNTINGDON CO., Pa. (WJAC) — Seven Points Campground at Raystown Lake in Huntingdon County is open for the season.
The lake's camping season runs from the first weekend of April until the last full weekend of October.
According to park rangers, the camp offers 260 sites. Visitors are reminded all public safety protocols remain in place and must be followed, including wearing a mask when entering any lake property.
The Army Corps of Engineers has said in recent years the lake has become increasingly popular, offering a wide variety of activities for visitors.
“The awesome thing about Raystown and Seven Points Campground is that we really have it all. From all of the campground facilities, to boat launches. We have a very large beach that can hold lots of people, and lots of people safely,” Park Ranger Jacob Hohman told 6 News.
Raystown is a federal facility. Rangers ask people to be mindful of dry conditions when lighting campfires.
