With Mother's Day just around the corner, flower shops maybe particularly busy.

So, how might inflation play a role at flower shops?

6 News visited a Cambria county nursery where we were told they keep their prices fair.

“We have a lot of beautiful hanging baskets and flowers and things ready to go,” said Jesse Stuver, the President of Stuver's Nursery. “It’s a big weekend in the nursery business, Mother’s Day weekend coming up and we expect to have greenhouses full of people.”

Even with inflation -- Stuver says the flower business isn't really impacted and shouldn’t put a dent in Mother Day plans.

“I don’t know that it’s really impacted us negatively. I mean, we just keep our prices as fair as we can and keep going,” Stuver added. “You now, our business, people buying flowers or hanging baskets it’s a little bit of an indulgence or if you have a garden, you know it’s a way to maybe cut some costs at the supermarket, so I don’t know that it affected us tremendously.”

And even if inflation put a bigger price tag on flowers -- Stuver tells Channel 6 he isn't worried about his business – especially around Mother's day!

“Everyone loves mom and you’re gonna get whatever she likes," said Stuver. "Regardless.”
