UPDATE |

State police in Blair County have identified the suspect accused of barricading himself inside a home over the weekend.

Police say 67-year-old John Laird, of Altoona, reportedly barricaded himself inside a residence along East Pleasant Valley Blvd., in Antis Township, on Saturday afternoon.

Investigators say authorities initially responded to the residence for reports of a suicidal male.

Troopers say Laird allegedly would not allow a woman to leave the residence and was threatening to harm anyone who attempted to come to the home.

Police say Laird eventually surrendered to troopers without incident.

He is being held at the Blair County Prison on misdemeanor charges of making terroristic threats.

His bail has been set at $150,000, according to online court records.
