ST MARYS, Pa. (WJAC) — The St. Marys Police Department say officers arrested a suspicious green man who was planning to steal Christmas.
According to the department’s Facebook page, officers responded Christmas Eve morning after callers reported the man wandering around town with a poor attitude.
Police say they approached the man whom they identified as the Grinch.
According to reports, Grinch exclaimed to the officers, ”And they’ll feast, feast, feast, feast. They’ll eat their Who-Pudding and rare Who-roast Beast. But there’s something I just cannot stand in least Oh no. I’m speaking in rhyme!”.
Police say they took the Grinch into custody and interviewed him.
“After some discussion, Grinch recanted stating, ‘HELP ME.I'M FEELING,’” police wrote.
Authorities say the Grinch was released without charges after wishing the city of St. Marys a very joyous Christmas.
