The 2022 THON dance marathon has raised a record breaking total of $13,756,374.50 for the fight against Pediatric Cancer.

Penn State's annual 46-hour dance marathon was live again this year after going virtual during the pandemic in order to raise millions of dollars for the Four Diamonds fund at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.

First organized by students in 1973, THON has grown into the largest student-run philanthropy in the world with more than 16,500 student volunteers participating in fundraising efforts all year long.

To date, THON has raised nearly $200 million for the fight against childhood cancer and has helped 4,800 families.

Last year, THON raised a grand total of $10,638,078.62.

The previous record total was set in 2014 when THON raised over $13.3 million.
