Mifflin County, PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Mifflin County say a Lewistown man is behind bars after he allegedly stabbed two men during an altercation at a Granville Township home.
According to the affidavit, police were dispatched to the residence, located along Miller Lane, early Monday morning.
Investigators say the caller reported that two residents had been stabbed by 19-year-old Bernardo Petrillo.
While responding to the scene, police say Petrillo and his family were located traveling along Route 103 and he was taken into custody.
Upon further investigation, police learned that Petrillo's family had reportedly dropped him and a woman off at the residence after they were allegedly invited over.
Police say, at some point during the night, Petrillo and the woman had reportedly began arguing, prompting him to call his family to come pick him up from the residence.
Investigators say, according to Petrillo, the victims were reportedly "propositioning" the woman to engage in sexual activity, which then led to the argument.
Police say after calling his family, Petrillo allegedly left the residence and waited outside, where he reportedly slashed the tires of one of the victim's cars.
Investigators say this reportedly sparked a second altercation as Petrillo's family was arriving at the residence.
Police allege that during the secondary altercation, Petrillo reportedly stabbed the two victims.
Authorities say Petrillo claimed that he stabbed the two men because they had allegedly attacked one of his family members, however, police allege that the family member was incidentally injured by Petrillo himself during the altercation.
Police say one of the victims suffered severe injuries to his face and neck while the other was reportedly stabbed in the back and side.
Authorities say both men were flown to a nearby hospital and their condition is unknown.
According to online court records, Petrillo is being held at the Mifflin County Jail on various charges, including attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
