STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WJAC) — If you have ever wanted to learn how to box, now is your chance.
The State College YMCA is hosting boxing classes this month led by two-time collegiate boxing champion and All-American Musa Alsulaimani.
A Penn State graduate and current MMA competitor, Alsulaimani says the sport of boxing is not only physical but mental and you have to learn discipline in order to be successful.
“I just kind of want to give back some of the knowledge I’ve been blessed with in boxing from my coaches and things like that.”
He hopes to excite others about boxing again as it has become less popular in recent years as sports like MMA fill the void.
The classes run for four weeks this month at the State College YMCA located at the intersection of West Whitehall Road and Waupelani Drive.
